Kidlat Tahimik: “SARILING DUENDE” - Kidlat Tahimik stresses that while his filmmaking style works wonderfully for him, it may not works just as well for other people. He is clear-cut in his goals for his films and that is to let his duende break free from what he calls the “colonial cocoon.” His way is the anti-thesis of the Hollywood formula calculated to appeal to the lowest common denominator for maximum profit.

Roxlee: “DIGITAL ANIMATION” – independent filmmaker Roxlee has long specialized in animation, creation gorgeous short films that are memorable precisely because of the fact that they are crude yet reminiscent works of art.

.MOV (pronounced “dot-mov”), the first digital filmfest in the Philippines which jumpstarted the digital revolution in the country back in 2002, will have its third edition in Robinsons Galleria Cinema from September 30 to October 7, 2008. The Opening Night will be on September 30, Tuesday, and the Closing & Awards Night will be on October 4, Saturday. Parallel screenings in the cities of Bacolod , Dumaguete, and Iloilo will be held from September 24 to October 7.
