2nd Animahenasyon 2008: Pinoy Animation Festival
The Animation Council of the Philippines (ACPI) is calling on all
Filipino animators to submit their entries to the 2nd Animahenasyon
2008: Pinoy Animation Festival to be held on November 12-16, 2008.
The 2nd Animahenasyon 2008 aims to continue to showcase original
content in Philippine animation and to recognize the Filipino talent
in the field of animation, aiming for local and international
animation excellence and competitiveness.
The competition is composed of a professional and a student/amateur
divisions and includes the following categories: one minute up to
five minutes; 6 minutes up to 20 minutes; 21 minutes up to 40
minutes; Full-animated feature (more than 40 minutes); music video;
OBBs, TVCs, infomercials, demo reels; and TV series.
Entries must be made frame by frame, including computer graphics
animation and must be submitted in the DVD format for pre-selection.
They must also be submitted together with three (3) photo stills
from the work; one (1) photo of the Animation Director; and brief
biography of the Animation Director (not more than five sentences).
All entries will undergo a preliminary screening and the finalists
will compete and be shown during the festival in November. Animators
of chosen entries and their work will also be featured in all promo
materials for the event.
Application forms and mechanics to the competition can be downloaded
from the ACPI website, www.animationcouncil.org.
Deadline for submission of entries is on October 8, 2008 and must be

The Animation Council of the Philippines is a non-stock and non-profit organization whose member companies specialize mainly in, but
not limited to, either 2D or 3D animation. It is an organization
recognized and supported by the Philippine government whose aim is
to promote the Animation Industry globally with the intention of
creating an identity for the Philippines to be considered amongst
the preferred countries that service the animation industry.

Teachers are entitled to a free entrance for every program they ask their class/es (25-50 pax) to participate in. For example, a teacher requires one class to the animation congress, s/he is entitled to a free entrance, or if she brings a class to watch a particular program screening, s/he is entitled to a free entrance to that screening.
Individual teachers who are not bringing a class enjoy the same student discount privileges as indicated above (depending on the venue).
Only one person per ACPI-member company is entitled to a free entrance to the one-day animation congress.
