Asian Hot Shots Berlin is a platform for young Asian film in its artistic and political relevance. With its debut in January 16th-22nd 2008 in the cinemas Babylon Berlin Mitte and Z-inema, the festival established itself as a place for new discoveries. The films it presented gained attention from other fests worldwide.
Throughout 2008 Hot Shots organized On Tour-screenings of its programm in Germany, India and Switzerland. From january 13th-18th 2009 the second edition of Hot Shots will take place in Babylon and Z-inema. Look forward to great new films from Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapor, Thailand, Malaysia und Indonesia!

Call for Entries!
Celebrating its 2nd season ASIAN HOT SHOTS BERLIN is a platform for independent Asian film makers to introduce themselves and their films in Germany/Europe, and to trigger off an interaction with their German/European counterparts.
The element of promoting human relations and inter-cultural dialogue, imbibed in the spirit of the festival, should enjoy the same aesthetic value as that of the promotion of Asian films and their makers.
The program features a diverse selection of Asian films from feature, documentaries to animation and experimental work with an invitation to participate in post-screening discussions with the audience and filmmakers.
