Goelali Children's Film Festival celebrates multicultural films and films for children, about children and even by children. We hope to reach as many Indonesian children and give them the opportunity to watch, learn, think, create and even present their works on the big screen. We start in Jakarta, the capital city, and are currently looking into travelling to other smaller cities.
Please do note that if you can have a mix of real life drama and animation, it will be better. All films are to be in English or with English Subtitles. Format will be in DVD (hi res) or Digibeta / DV - Digital format.
This is the first Children's Film Festival in Indonesia and we work together with schools, inviting students and the public to film screenings, workshops, forums and even exhibition with interactive hands-on activities for children to learn about the behind the screen experience in filmmaking. We hope to promote not only international films for children from all over the world, but we do hope to highlight specifically Asian animations and children films. These recent years, there are a number of first animated films by various Asian countries, not only they are a breakthrough in their respective countries, but they are reaching international markets. These films are to be celebrated and given opportunities to reach the big screens for a wider audience. With these purposes in mind, Goelali and Agimat Project hopes to organise an Indonesian Premiere for Filipino Animated Films and short films for children.
