Coco Martin |
It is no secret that Coco Martin started his career in showbusiness by acting in indie films.
During the gala night of his Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival entry Sta. Niña at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) on Tuesday night, Coco said he is happy to be back in the indie scene.
“But I was nervous coming here to the event. I haven’t been very active in indie,” said Coco in Filipino.
Coco promised that he would act in another indie film soon.
The actor is known as the “Indie Prince of Philippine Movies.” His body of work includes lead roles Masahista (2005), Tirador (2007), Serbis (2008), at Kinatay (2009)—all directed by Brillante “Dante” Mendoza.
