Profile: Reckless Imprudence consists in voluntary, but without malice, doing or falling to do an act from which material damage results by reason of inex-cusable lack of precaution on the part of the person performing of failing to perform such act, taking into consideration his employment or occupation, degree of intelligence, physical condition and other circumstances regarding persons, time and place (Article 365, Revised Penal Code).
Lawyers by day and full-time rakistas by night, Reckless Imprudence is a kick-ass rock band presently composed by:
ATTY. KARL CASTILLO of Fortun Narvasa and Salazar (vocals);
ATTY. MARCO ANDAYA of the Department of Finance (guitars);
ATTY. BAYAN QUIÑIONES also of Fortun Narvasa and Salazar (guitars); ATTY. CARLO YBAÑEZ of Chavez Miranda and Aseoche (bass guitars); and ATTY. JERI BANTA of KPMG Laya Mananghaya (drums).
The band was formed late 2005 by Karl and Carlo, who were then burned out by the taxing work of being in litigation firms. Back then Atty. Cookoo Basallo shared the mic with Karl and provided the band with devoted groupies. Atty. Den Plofino supplied the keyboard accompaniment, also to the great delight of his hordes of loyal followers. Atty. Ken Bucu, who is presently on indefinite leave, was the lead guitarist of the band.
The band usually plays funked-up blues/rock songs. For covers, they usually have their take on song from the sixties and the seventies (e.g. the Doors, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and the Beatles). The band, however, is presently concentrating on originals. As of date, they have finalized the songs Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll; Askal (the Suicide Dog); Makasalanan; the Ending; Deliryo; and Disco Impyerno.
