Lilac Rose is a band compose of four individuals from Muntinlupa City who just love to play music and making everybody know that they have the passion to be unique. Just like lilac rose that symbolizes sorrow and lost, their music represents the moments and experiences that made them better persons. The music they play were not only for them selves but for those who is just like them either happy or lost in life.

The band started at the summer of 2005, composed of Tars(Lead guitar), Jethro, (Drums) Bryan (Rhythm and vocals). At first they just wanted to join an upcoming battle of the bands and try something new since everyone of them came from different genre. Bryan was influenced by Screamo/Post Hardcore bands, Tars came from a Variety of bands performing live in bars and other events and has the most experience in performing live, and Jet is from an alternative band influenced by alternative rock bands. It's never easy for the three at the start because of the difference in music and style and financial state of everyone one of them, but the most thing that the band is lacking is the longing for a permanent bassist. Because of the upcoming event and probably the first gig of the band they borrowed Coco Vargas from Palm Mute and play the bass part for the meantime.

After the event everyone thought it was the first and last gig of the band because of the three has other things to do. Tars And Jet has a job and Bryan is still studying at that time, but the passion for music still resides in their blood. They still continue talking about music and influences and how to be better musicians. Time has come to make the dreams real.

At first it's hard, coming from a long break and still adjusting because of a new kind of lifestyle, But because of hardwork everything went well with the aid of This Day Forward's Ronnel Atienza on bass they got thire first gig at Yonker's Bar at Las Piñas City. It's not a great show but for the band it's one great experience and something they treasured a lot.

The band still searching for the kind of music they want to play, since being labeled as punk/emo band and sounds like the bands they used to play with and having no permanent bassist at all, the band can't recognize what sound they'll be and stand out as a band. Bryan call the aid of a former bandmate Joy Tolentino to play for the band.

Because of personal issues Tars decided to leave the band and focus more on his career. He was one of the person who made Lilac Rose possible. To fill in for Tars, A friend of Bryan recommended Simon Canonoy to play the lead guitar parts. Simon came from a Metal / Screamo band and has talent that will be a great addition to the band. Lilac Rose now range from experimental rock to post hardcore. Now Lilac Rose is now Jethro James Catayoc on Drums, Arnie Joy Tolentino on Bass / Vocals, Simon Canonoy on Lead Guitars, and Bryan John Se on Rhythm Guitars/Vocals.
