     Conceived in 2004, Collie Herb (Black Slate’s song about herbal meditation) is a group of young musicians composed of 9 talented individuals coming from different places and with different influences… yet grouped as ONE because of their exuberance to spread message of Peace, Love and Positive Vibration through Reggae Music.

     Collie Herb’s repertoire caters to all social classes and age range. Their music, a fusion of rhythmic Lovers Rock, Roots, Dancehall and Island Reggae had never failed its listeners to feel sexy and groove their feet on the ground. Though inspired by many foreign artists like Bob Marley & the Wailers, Black Slate, Long Beach Dub All Star, Three Plus & more, this young reggae generals managed to create its own sound, “a light and sassy reggae that is foreign inspired but serve on a platter of authentic Pinoy musicality & adaptation” ., and be heard and gain respect in the Philippine reggae scene.

     Collie Herb has performed hundred of gigs, anywhere from garage gigs and fiestas to upscale yuppie hung-outs, parties and corporate events. The band appeared and performed on a numbers Television and Radio Stations guestings & performances. The highlight of their profession is when they are being selected as one of Philippine bet, together with 4 more Filipino bands and solo singers in an Asian-wide talent competition which will culminate this May to October 2008 in Bangkok, Thailand. The SUTASI, Search for Unsigned Talents in Asia- whose goal is to discover Asian Talents to market on global stage.
