KUPITA is an Independent Band formed last September 18, 2008, by individuals bonded by the spell of music. With Lara Babula on Vocals (from Kulay and Fraze Band), Janz Tagapan on Guitars (from Under Preparatory, Fraze and T'iatro) and Dhan Silvestre on drums (from the bands Black Monday, Under Preparatory, T'iatro, Fraze, Kapatiran (and a current member of SOMETIME IN MAY)). The Sessionist/ Bassist Ferdz Bonghanoy (from the band Snorlax) lately joined "KUPITA" after Roni Salas, our former bassist needed to focus more on his personal carreer stuff for almost a year but lately re- united with the band after such. Another former member of "KUPITA" is Nath Mercado which did some of the rhythm parts for our original crafts.
Kupita's music swims in deep emotions, with songs telling stories bout' sorrows, joy and encouragements. Spreading words of hurt from being imperfect, statements of righteous acts to see things in a positive way, Kupita create songs that have no happy endings, but expounds reality.
Lyrics composed of no- simple words, awkward- patterned guitar/ bass riffs and off- beat rudiments. It can't be noticed on Kupita's music, AT FIRST. But if you'll listen through your inner ear. ITS MUSIC FROM THE HEART that you'll hear.
