Pine for Pine - Concert for Baguio: Remember Luneta Hill Sundown to Sunrise
A free concert in defense of our trees.
In protest of the proposed earthballing/relocation/cutting/harming of 182 trees up on Luneta Hill to pave the way for SM's expansion plans. A concert featuring artists of Baguio, friends from the rest of the Cordilleras and the lowlands, friends of the environment. -Frank Cimatu
BAGUIO CITY PHILIPPINES --
A Concert for advocacy, Baguio City Residents and Artists will stage a Concert in protest of SM Baguio's intentions to up-root trees and tree saplings for a parking lot extention in the City.
Baguio Personalities headed by Kidlat Tahimik, Kawayan de Guia, Chi Balmaceda Guttierez, Karlo Marko Altamonte, took the streets last week; braodcasted over Aljazeera that covered a festive atmosphere.
The performing artists scheduled at the event on Sunday are:

The concert will culminate on Monday at 12:00am.
GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES:
No alcohol and drugs on the venue for the whole 2 day duration.
No bringing of deadly weapons.
Mind your litters, remember we are encouraging environmental awareness here. Bring trash bags for litters and another for recyclables.
Participating groups kindly marshal your own people.
Bring your own provisions and share extras too. Remember this is a POT LUCK GATHERING AND NOBODY IS FEEDING US BUT OURSELVES.
For the 9am tree planting, kindly bring digging tools.
Bring your own mat for sitting and relaxing.
For those who intend to sleep over, bring your own sleeping bags and tents.
Be sure to insulate yourselves, the afternoon and the night will be cold.
Ready yourselves as there is prediction of rain. The event is a rain-or-shine activity.
For info, queries and reports, AN INFO DESK WILL BE SET UP AT THE SECRETARIAT AREA.
For performers, we will go by the rule of “first come, first serve” to accommodate everyone. We will line you up as you arrive to minimize dead air. We know everybody’s time is as precious as your passionate contribution (TALENT) to the cause.
Groups can wear green or their own uniforms and put on something green such as ribbons, bands, pine icon stickers etc.
Last but not least, PUT IN MIND THE REASON WHY WE ARE GATHERED. We did not just gather to have fun, WE UNITED OURSELVES AS A COMMUNITY TO PROTEST THE EARTHBALLING OF 182 TREES AT LUNETA HILL and IN GENERAL TO STOP THE DENUDATION OF FORESTS AND OTHER GREEN PATCHES IN BAGUIO CITY.
