presents Doodle Earth A 5-day Art Fair on Environmental Awareness
With the Earth Day near, Red Root Multi Purpose Cooperative, a pioneering artists’ cooperative in the Philippines, is organizing an arts-related fair to celebrate this special day.
We invite you to take part in the First Red Root MPC Children’s Art Fair carrying the call for increased environmental awareness and creative participation to share this concern with more children. Dubbed “Doodle Earth”, the fair brings together ShoeMart Fairview, non-government organizations and the Quezon City Government (Barangay Teachers Village East), to hold two separate fairs – (1) at the Teacher’s Village East covered court, Maginhawa St., Quezon City on April 19, 2009, and (2) at the SM Fairview Annex on April 22-26, 2009.
The fair is an innovative way to build awareness on environmental issues, which is every community’s concern. Doodle Earth provides a fresh and creative perspective to the call, with an aim to help instill values and practices in the children in a very enjoyable, light and easy approach.
“Doodle Earth” is expected to draw different crowds for the two events – one having a residential community as target market and the other, mallgoers from different walks of life. For Teachers Village East, around 50-75 children are anticipated to participate, supported by the presence of their parents and siblings. For SM Fairview, at least 100 children are anticipated to participate per day, aside from the visiting public who has access to the fair venue for free.
