The CALABARZON Graphic Design Convention (GDC) is a gathering of people who love digital art. A first in Cavite, GDC is a special event to learn, compete and to exhibit digital art.
The convention started last year thru the initiative of the Marketing Communications Office of De La Salle University-Dasmariñ as in partnership with the country's premier digital arts training center, the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI).
In its launching last year GDC was packed with seminars such as Digital (SLR) Photography, Photoshop, Web Design and Flash Animation. The event's highlights were Photoshop Art and Digital Photography Contest.
This year’s contest theme in the Digital Photography and Photoshop Art Contest is “Reinventing the Bayanihan”.
Everyone who wants to learn digital art (Photography and Adobe Photoshop), those who are interested to submit photos and photoshop artworks for the contest, and participate in the digital artworks exhibition are welcome to attend in this year's gathering.
- Theme: "Reinventing the Bayanihan"
- Contest is open to all registered participants.
- Entries must be original and have never been entered in other contests.
- Only one entry for each category is allowed per person.
- Graphic violence, nudity or profanity will not be accepted.
- Only minimal Photoshop editing is allowed (brightness, contrast, sharpness.)
- Entries must be printed on an 8 x 10 inch (8R) photo paper.
- Entries must also be submitted in JPG file on a CDR or DVDR disc with case.
- Entries must be mailed or hand delivered together with the accomplished Entry Form inside a short brown envelope to:

- Entries must be submitted on or before March 15, 2010 (5pm).
- All winning entries will be considered property of DLSU-D.
- Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
a. Originality - 20%
b. Relevance to the theme - 30%
c. Composition - 30%
d. Overall Impact - 20%
- Judges' decisions are final.
- All winners will be announced during the awarding ceremony at the end of the Convention is on March 20.
- Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited 30 days upon notification.
- All entries will be included in the convention exhibition.
- Certificates will be given to all participants.
- Prizes:
First Place: P5,000.00
Second Place: P3,000.00
Third Place: P1,500.00
