Visual Art Exhibit:

Une pléiade d’artistes

Altro Mondo holds inaugural exhibit "Une pléiade d’artistes"

ALTRO MONDO IS A GALLERY dedicated to the promotion of established and emergent Filipino artists through selective exhibitions, museum representations, international art fairs, and linkages and collaboration with prestigious international galleries.

Altro Mondo will provide space for works by multidisciplinary artists from here and abroad.

“Une pléiade d’artistes” is Altro Mondo’s maiden exhibition. It features the works of more established Filipino artists. “Pléiade,” in Greek mythology, means a constellation of seven stars. In literary history, it is the name given to the seven ancient poets of Alexandria who lived during 300 BC. In French literature, it pertains to the seven great poets of the French Renaissance. Today, “pléiade” means a group of individuals remarkable in their respective fields.

“Une pléiade d’artistes” opens on May 20 at Altro Mondo, 3/L, Greenbelt 5, Makati City. Featured artists include Gabby Barredo, Norberto Carating, Roberto Feleo, RM de Leon, Romulo Galicano, Etienne Gros, Julie Lluch, Ofelia Gelvezon Tequi, Nestor Olarte Vinluan, Francisco Sepulveda, Eghai Roxas, Mario de Rivera, Ramon Orlina, Justin Nuyda and Fernando Modesto.
