A TOTAL of 59 works of art will be featured in an exhibit entitled “Jeunne de Vivre” this Saturday from 6-10 p.m. at Galerie Joaquin, 371 P. Guevarra St. cor. Montessori Lane, Addition Hills, San Juan.

The exhibit is to raise funds for Dr. June Pagaduan-Lopez in her battle against non-Hodgkins lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer. Dr. Pagaduan-Lopez is a psychiatrist and women’s rights champion, and a TOWNS awardee, recognized for her work with abused women and children. Many artists are in fact generously donating part of the proceeds from the sale of the paintings to her, as with Galerie Joaquin itself.

Apart from the 59 art works available for outright sale, 10 specially selected works will be auctioned on Saturday evening. Noted art critic and art writer Cid Reyes will be the auction master while internationally renowned tenor Frankie Aseniero and chanteuse Carla Gutierrez as well as special friends of June, including Richard Merk and Jean Vicars, will perform.
