Up this Environment Month, the 28th Sacred Heart Parish and Feast Day to proceed with low-impact and traditional games

Boac, Marinduque – The Riverside district’s Sacred Heart Parish is going to commemorate its 28th foundation and feast day by June 23 with Fiesta Games. Accompanying the Misa Novenario starting from June 14 until 22 are Filipino traditional games which has low-impact to the environment and carbon emissions in general.

After presenting the plans to the Sacred Heart Parish executive council last May 28 with the parish priest and key officials of the Parish Pastoral Council, Barangay Pastoral Council and this year’s Hermano Mayor, it was ratified on June 4 during the 1st Sunday meeting. Then the said plans to conduct the Novena Masses and Fiesta Games was endorsed and obtain support from the Barangay council of Poras where the parish church is located.

 

 

The following Misa Novenario schedule would be adapted and materialized as follows: June 14, Pabitin; June 15, Hampas Palayok; June 16, Tumbang Preso; June 17, Fun Run, Sack Race and BINGO sosyal; June 18, Hit the Egg, Pass the Flour, Juego de Anillo and Palosebo; June 19, Pa(an)ndesal; June 20, Happy Fiesta Candle; June 21, Raffle and June 22, Procession.

According to this year’s Sacred Heart Hermano Mayor who happens to be an Island Innovation Ambassador and Academic Council Representative, “This is regard with the upcoming 28th Sacred Heart Parish anniversary and Feast day by June 23 this year. We are cognizant of the previous years we were under restrictions, as we continue to recover we want you to partake with some activities for the benefit of the parish and barangay pastoral council.”

 

 

The Sacred Heart Parish Island Ambassadors have paved the way to serve as innovators, changemakers and creatives in coming up with environmental heart and mindset considering not only ecocentric but circular, horizontal, likas-kaya and kapwa ideas to heart. This year’s theme of the Sacred Heart Feast day, “Mahal na Puso ni Hesus, Sandigan ng isang Mabuting Katiwala.” As a Sacred Heart Parishioner, emulating Jesus as a good steward of the earth and the environment.
