Under the auspices of the country’s de facto culture ministry, National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and its Philippine Cultural Education Program (PCEP) took part in the three day research summit convened by Nayong Pilipino.
The first day featured the keynote message, Pangasinan representative Hon. Toff de Venecia graced the in-person activity at the Philippine National University. Before the lunch break, the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino chair Art Casanova also imparted KWF’s advocacy for language mapping. Then during the afternoon, there were two roundtable discussion with some of the most astute and staunch cultural educators such Dr Voltaire Villanueva, Tim Dacanay along with escuela taller ang cultural leadership institute.
For the part of NCCA PCEP, presented the repertoire of culture-based pedagogy thru the lens of its most active interlocutors like Dr Ferdy Lopez, Filemon Blanco, Sonny Cristobal, Rica Palis and Eric Zerrudo. Then for the clincher, with a memorandum of agreement with the Ateneo de Zamboanga University also assembled their presentations and presenters, cultural and academic what not.
