Virtual Two-Day Pastel Weekend

This year’s National Pastel Convention will all take place online using popular social media platforms and video conferencing tools. All participants will have special access to the online sessions.

The two-day event will begin with inspirational messages from the PPA officers, advisors and from some of the Philippines’ renowned artists to encourage all participants to continue to enjoy and create art during the pandemic. This is followed by a series of demos showing different painting techniques and genres from top local and international pastel artists Roland Castro, Rafael Maniago, Bienvenido Sibug, Gary Carabio and Norberto Villez, as well as a live workshop by Alex ‘Bugsy’ Sibug and a live paint-along session with American pastel artist, Vianna Szabo.

The weekend caps off with the announcement of the winners of the 4th National Pastel Competition on Sunday afternoon. And finally, PPA will hold a raffle for all participants with amazing prizes that include some of the world’s best pastels and art materials.

All videos and sessions will be recorded and available to all participants even after the convention weekend – for a limited time.

Convention Fee at Php 900.00 for non-members and Php720 for members, PWD, Students and Seniors.
