Join us for our first CoCo (Coffee Conversations) with “Space Between Thoughts” artist, Therese Nicole Reyes. In this talk, Reyes will talk about highlight art works from the exhibition, her artistic process, collaboration with Curare, and body of work.
This artist talk is moderated by John Alexis Balaguer, founder and curator of Curare Art Space.
Recording one’s spontaneous gesture by illustrating and connecting finite works into a continuum, and making technical and reflective notes, reference a personal desire to make sense of unknown spaces and a collective desire to harbor nature. Utilizing the ways she knows as a taught artist, Reyes arrives at a poetic consciousness of the artistic process, and a recognition of the nature of thoughts.
Space Between Thoughts is the inaugural exhibition of Curare Art Space, an online art space for emerging art in the Philippines.
CURARE ART SPACE
Meaning “to care for,” CURARE gives artists a space to explore the deeply personal in a dynamic online platform. CURARE’s exhibitions are activated through research and collaboration. As an art space that focuses on the stories of artists, writers, performers, and creators through their art, we engage with art as life, and make space for human stories.
