AV Fest’s closing and thanksgiving party!
Sumayaw, sumunod ka na sa indak ng panahon, Lahing Dakila! You’re invited to ‘Politikal ang Party’, the closing celebration of AVX: Visions x Movements!
AVX: Visions x Movements, the 10th edition of AV Fest, is soon coming to a close. The theme was birthed as we looked back on the last decade of struggle: we made a stand to reclaim the story of our nation. Now, we’ve begun the next chapter guided by the truth we’ve fought for and fueled by our passion for change. Against all odds, we continue to steer the momentum that we’ve built to realize our visions of a better country.
With the 10th anniversary of AV Fest, it’s time to celebrate what we’ve grown in the last 10 editions of the festival! Our struggle to defend human rights also continues–with all that we’ve faced especially in the last few years, community care and togetherness have never been more important in strengthening our movement. With each fight, there should also be time to breathe–whether through dancing, singing, or just being together!
So, wear your dancing shoes and come as you are on October 2, Saturday at Dirty Kitchen/Gravity Art Space, Mother Ignacia Ave., Quezon City! Doors open at 4 PM and the program starts at 5 PM. Get ready for a night of live music, an open dancefloor, and bonding with all your friends and allies at DAKILA.
The Buildings, Nikki Nava, Ang Bandang Shirley, Uncle Bob’s Funky 7 Club, and our president Lourd De Veyra will be jamming with us. It will also be your last chance to see the Politikal ang Komiks exhibit with works from Apol Sta Maria, Tarantadong Kalbo, Rob Cham, Mariam Hukom, Cartoonist Zach, and more!
Kung kating-kati ka na mag-boogie, ito na yun! Let’s end AV Fest’s 10th edition with a celebration!
Kita-kits, Lahing Dakila!
