The Podium
In collaboration with the UST Atelier Alumni Association Inc. Art Lounge Manila is honored to present “Vision: Compendio,” an impressive showcase of artistic talent cultivated within the venerable walls of the University of Santo Tomas (UST). The exhibition honors the legacy of UST’s historic academe, celebrating the diverse styles and imaginative visions of its distinguished members.
“Compendio” features an array of works by some of the most esteemed UST Atelier alumni, including renowned sculptor Ramon Orlina, abstractionist Raul Isidro, watercolorist Edgar Doctor, and contemporary artist Derrick Macutay, among others. These artists, each with their unique expression, techniques, and artistic perspectives, demonstrate the breadth and depth of talent that the prestigious institution has nurtured.
This exhibition is held in two simultaneous locations of Art Lounge Manila: The Podium at the heart of Ortigas center and Molito in the South of Manila, and will be on view from August 18-30, 2023. In partnership with SM and The Podium, the event forms part of their Arts Month Celebration.
Alongside the exhibition, Art Lounge Manila, UST Atelier, and The Podium will also host a series of art demonstrations and talks at Art Lounge Manila in The Podium on August 27, 2023. These sessions will provide an enriching platform for artists, art enthusiasts, and the general public to engage in insightful discussions about the artworks and gain a deeper understanding of the creative process.
