Arman Kendrick

 

Born and raised in the Philippines, Arman Kendrick is an Artist, Industrial designer, Toy designer, and Storyteller. Motivated by the passion of creation, he started his toy journey back in 2015 after seeing the works of Jan Calleja, his would be mentor, in a Toy convention in Manila. He apprenticed for Mr. Calleja for 3 years before creating his first original character, the Tako Jimbos. The first collection of the Tako Jimbos sold out in its first run which paved the way in expanding the whole Tako Jimbo Universe.

As a life-long art and toy enthusiast, he has been to various conventions and shows both local and international, showcasing his toys and different creations.

Most of Arman’s works are heavily influenced by a variety of Asian cultures such as Japanese paintings, Anime, Chinese paintings, and architecture. These cultural influences that are reflected in Arman’s work can be traced to the different media and objects around his childhood environment. Currently, he has been working on toy collaborations with various renowned artists around the globe.
