1. What is Batman Day?
This year, comic fans around the world are celebrating Batman’s 75th anniversary. Along with comic book shops around the world, select Fully Booked and Comic Odyssey branches are giving away free copies of the anniversary issue, Detective Comics #27. The comic features a reimagining of Batman’s 1939 comic debut, designed by Chip Kidd, with a script by the New York Times best selling author Brad Meltzer. (Please see number 4 for participating branches.)
In addition to free comic giving, graphic novels and manga titles will be on sale at 20% off in all Fully Booked branches (please see number 7 for sale items details). We will also have some Batman-related activities on this day, and will announce these once finalized! 🙂
2. When is Batman Day?
Batman’s 75th Anniversary is on July 23, 2014. A lot of the comic book shops around the world will be distributing the free Batman anniversary comic on that day. However, since July 23 is a weekday, and we’d like as many people as possible to join in, we at Fully Booked and Comic Odyssey are celebrating it on Saturday, July 26, 2014!
3. How many free comics are we allowed to get?
A customer is allowed to get one (1) free copy of Detective Comics #27! No other titles will be given for free on this day.
4. What are the participating Fully Booked branches?
The Bonifacio High Street, Alabang Town Center, SM Mall of Asia, Greenbelt 5, Power Plant Mall (Rockwell), Promenade (Greenhills), The Block (SM North EDSA), TriNoma, Regis Center (Katipunan), and Eastwood Mall branches will be giving away copies of the free Batman comic. There are a limited number of these comics and they will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
Other Fully Booked branches (Taft, MarQuee Mall, Ayala Center Cebu, Abreeza Mall Davao, Bibliarch Pasong Tamo, Bibliarch Glorietta, Sketchbooks Greenbelt 3), will not be giving away free comics but will have graphic novel titles on discounted sale (see number 7 for discount details).
5. Is there a purchase requirement to get the free Batman comic?
There is no purchase requirement to get the free Batman comic, but please note that we will be strictly following the rule of giving each customer one (1) comic only.
6. What time does Batman Day start?
Comic giving starts during the opening times of each branch. Our Regis Center (Katipunan) branch opens at 9:00 am, while the Bonifacio High Street, Alabang Town Center, SM Mall of Asia, Power Plant Mall (Rockwell), Promenade (Greenhills), The Block (SM North EDSA) and TriNoma branches open at 10:00 am. The Greenbelt 5 and Eastwood Mall branches open at 11:00 am.

7. What items will be on discounted sale?
Graphic novels and manga titles that are D-coded will be at 20% off in all Fully Booked branches nationwide on July 26, 2014 only. Other comics like Archie, Calvin & Hobbes, Garfield, etc. that are D-coded will also be at 20% off on that day.
If you’re not sure about whether a title you want will be discounted, please feel free to ask any book specialist in our branches to help you find out.
8. I woke up late! Can I still get a free Batman comic? What time does free comic giving end?
We give out free comics until supplies last. We will try to keep our social media channels as updated as possible, but there may also be a bit of a lag in the information dissemination. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @_FullyBooked and on facebook.com/fullybooked.
