“CCP recognizes that digital innovation is truly a thriving industry and we don’t want to be left behind. We see the value these digital innovation projects hold and the promise of nurturing what’s ours. I’ve seen that the content is rich in Filipino traditions, culture, values and stories and I really think it deserves the attention and the support of the rest of the world.” CCP’s President Nikki Junia shares.
CCP continues to ask for support from government entities, private companies, and individuals for funding support in promoting remarkable local talent and also upholding the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage and game development prowess.
CCP also extends its heartfelt gratitude to Philippine Airlines and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for their generous support and sponsorship of airfare tickets and accommodations for the CCP grantees who were named finalists for the events and for their invaluable partnership and unwavering support of these projects and Filipino works.
Atty. Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, DICT Undersecretary for ICT Industry Development, shared her sentiments about the project: “I commend the CCP for leading initiatives in supporting young Filipino digital creatives. The emerging generation of digital creatives has the potential to position the Philippines prominently on the global stage in game development and animation. Consequently, it is crucial to allocate additional resources to support and nurture their ideas, enabling talented Filipino youth to emerge as influential digital content creators.”
Capt. Stanley K. Ng, PAL President and Chief Operating Officer, said: “Philippine Airlines is delighted to serve as an air bridge connecting Filipino talents with the global digital economy at a time of rapid technological innovation. At the same time, we are proud to support the promotion of Filipino culture through digital platforms. I wish the CCP grantees a productive visit to Malaysia.”
