• Cinema Exmundo, UPV Cinematheque, University of the Philippines Visayas from March 19 to 21.
• Atria Park District, for the Filmmakers Night on March 21
2. What is the theme or focus of this year’s film festival?
• “Patubas sang Taliambong, Banwa nga Mahamungayaon” (Ani ng Sining, Bayang Malikhain)
3. How can I purchase tickets? Is there an online platform or can I buy them at the venue?
• Tickets are not available for purchase; all screenings are free of charge. However, registration is mandatory via the provided form on Cinema Rehiyon’s Facebook page. The registration form is crucial as each screening comes with suggested ratings. This ensures that the screenings are not open to the public, particularly if the viewer’s age is deemed inappropriate.
4. Will you allow walk-in registration?
• Yes, as long as they sign up via Google Forms.
5. Can I reserve seats for specific screenings in advance?
• No. Seat reservations are not allowed throughout the duration of the festival. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
6. Will there be any special guests, filmmakers, or actors attending the festival?
• Yes, we will post this on the Cinema Rehiyon’s Facebook page. To stay updated on the events happening at Cinema Rehiyon this year, simply like and follow our festival’s official Facebook page.
7. Are there any workshops, panels, or Q&A sessions scheduled alongside the screenings?
• Yes. The entire afternoon of March 19, 2024, is dedicated to Film Talks. Although we do not have workshops this year because the organizer’s agenda focuses on networking, filmmakers will be given ample time to engage in discussions and plan collaborations after the festival.
8. Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes. However, this is exclusive to the official delegates and guests of Cinema Rehiyon from the NCCA, NCC, FDCP, and CineKasimanwa.
9. Are there any recommended accommodations for out-of-town attendees?
• Yes. Here are some hotels that are closest to the venue: Hotel del Rio, Highway 21 Hotel, Diversion 21 Hotel, and Smallville 21 Hotel.
10. Will food and drinks be available for purchase at the venue?
• The university cafeteria is open where you can buy food. Bringing food inside the cinema is not allowed.
11. Can I bring my children to the festival? Are there any age restrictions for certain films?
• No. We regret to inform you that children are not permitted in our screenings this year. For guidance regarding the ratings, we encourage you to contact the Cinema Rehiyon’s Facebook page.
12. Are the films being screened subtitled or dubbed?
• All the films we will be screening will have English subtitles.
13. Is there a dress code for attending the festival?
• There is no strict dress code, but everyone is encouraged to dress appropriately, especially delegates attending the Opening Ceremony and Filmmakers Night.
14. How can I stay updated on any changes or announcements related to the festival?

15. Are there any awards or recognitions being presented during the festival?
• Yes. The announcement of the winners of Cinekasimanwa 2023 will take place here, specifically during the Filmmakers Night event.
