Now on its tenth year of celebrating the best of independent Filipino films, Cinemalayaruns from August 1 to 10, 2014 at Cultural Center of the Philippines and Ayala Malls (Alabang Town Center, Greenbelt 3, Fairview Terraces and Trinoma).
Directors Showcase category features 5 films from veteran directors who want to be bold and edgy in pushing the borders of mainstream limitations and stereotypes. The entries are the following:

- The Janitor
New Breed category, on the other hand, features 10 films from new directors who have a fresh take and on filmmaking and storytelling. The entries are the following:

- 1st Ko si 3rd
- Bwaya
- Children’s Show
- Dagitab
- K’na The Dreamweaver
- Mariquina
- Ronda
- S6parados
- Sundalong Kanin
Supported in the competition as well are 10 short films divided into two sets (5 films per screening of a single set). There are also special screenings, Philippine premieres and other films in exhibitions.
On August 5 and 6, there will be a Cinemalaya Forum where directors, students and enthusiasts can learn the trends and practices in movie making.
The following is the complete schedule of Cinemalaya X per day per venue. Also indicated are the gala screenings where the films’ respective moviemakers, including the directors and cast members, will present their masterpieces to the audience.
