CLOSE SHOT – ON A DOOR
Upon which the number – 0214 – appear big, black, glossy. Through the door we see a hospital bed, some flowers and a patient sleeping.
INT. OFFICE – CLOSE SHOT – LILY VALENCIANA
Behind her cheap office desk, back to the window. Her jaw is long and bony. Her dark hair grown down to a point of her forehead. She looks pleasantly like Satan. Lily is rolling a cigarette. OVER SCENE the SOUND of the office door opening. She does not look up.

MED. SHOT- FRONT OF A FUNERAL HOME – Night
The overhead arch throws light on faces attending a wake. CAMERA PULLS BACK past family members, cousins, an uncle chewing gum. There was food with the women and gambling with the men. Lily gets coffee. As she sits on the pews the CAMERA focuses on the swirling milk and tinkling teaspoon on the cup.
