Ang “Fuente Ovejuna” ay isinulat ni Lope de Vega noong 1619, tungkol sa maliit na bayan na nag-alsa laban sa isang malupit na pinuno. Bagamat hindi na bago ang mga tema ng karapatan at hustisya ng dula, ang bersyon na ito na salin ni Nicolas Pichay sa Filipino ay may pagtukoy sa mga posibilidad ng pagkilos at paglaban sa kontekto ng kasalukuyan. At higit: may kinang at karunungan ang pag-aalsang nagmumula sa masa.
