A new day is a fresh start, and this February, the 14th Lasallian Arts Month is offering all the creative energy you need! Get excited for new opportunities, energized by new challenges, and empowered from new perspectives. Fill your month with adventures through the time-frozen streets of Escolta, workshops and talks on curious art forms, a play on passions and challenges, and various events that celebrate artistry!
This year’s Lasallian Arts Month line-up:
Br. Benilde: The Musical
Date: January 23 – February 2, 2019
Venue: SDA Theatre, 5/F SDA Campus
ART AMMO: Art Workshops/Talks
To equip the community with the tools of art, various workshops will be held that will reintroduce other uncommon but equally creative aspects of the industry. Participants will gain knowledge and a one-of-a-kind experience as they earn the capacity to awaken their artistic selves.

BazaART
A means for art to gain prestige is through trade, not just in currency, but in admiration and support. With BazaART, creatives are provided the opportunity to be acknowledged by the masses and given compensation for their hard work.

Escolta Art Walk
Relive Philippine history with the architectural landscape of Escolta where the art of the past had been preserved and maintained. Its views provide a journey into what was once and an appreciation of what is, and perhaps, even an inspiration to what can be.

PAROLA: JHIS-LS Bagac Recital
The students of Jaime Hilario Integrated School-La Salle in Bagac, Bataan present their play entitled Parola , as the culmination of their workshops and trainings with the Office of Culture and Arts and its artist groups. Set in the town of Parola under the crisis of an electrical blackout, its people continue to strive to prepare for their fiesta that celebrates and honors their home. Amidst their persistence, however, is the looming threat of their local administration Pura. Directed by Joan Cabunag and Chelsea Catli and written by Uzzi, witness the brilliance of these young hearts and minds geared towards a genuine expression of passion.

Art Jam x Exhibit
The 14th Lasallian Arts Month showcases a variety of creative outputs that spans across different types and genres. These will induce a newer perspective as it intends to display art where one least expects. The Art Jam offers a platform for any and all artists to express their creativity through an open mic. This will generate an atmosphere within the community that cultivates creative freedom and artistic strength that would transcend the event.
