In these trying times, people search for relationships, intimacy, and connection more than ever. Despite the odds, we try to fight the pandemic via social groups, online interactions, and even gaming. We want to feel secure despite the fear. We want to feel loved despite the distance. We want to feel heard despite the noise.

Humans seek self-preservation despite the fear of the pandemic and yet ironically, we challenge all odds by breaking free, seeking to return to the old world we knew.

“While most of us still could not adapt to the current challenges of this new era”

Many are still in denial, confused, some are agitated and furious with the existing times. But the real and toughest questions so far would be, “How do we cope and start again all from the beginning?” Hard to imagine, the answer is quite simple. Like any wall, we build layers one brick at a time. We start from our sanctuary: our Homes.

“No insane situation can ever tantamount to the power of a resilient home where family is bound by Love, Care and most of all Hope.”

Whatever we are going thru the day, we are all homebound. As Merriam-Webster dictionary define homebound as someone going home or a person who is confined to the home. We can choose to see whether the place we call home is a space of recharging one’s soul from the daily battles outside or other’s that see it a place that you can’t escape to.

Thus this exhibition shows the artistic perspective of the current situation inside or outside the confines of home. A glimpse of what each artist see and observe in their own sanctuary. A home can symbolize both for protection and a prison. Views of the same thing or idea in different angles give us a holistic concept of what might save our sanity despite the new paradigm shift. After all, this pandemic is just a mirage of how we really feel and react inside. It became our greatest revelation of what A human can truly reach and accomplish.
