Each painting tells a story of passion pushed to its limits, where boundaries blur and emotions run wild. The duo, Ron and Rum, have masterfully captured the tumultuous nature of such a love, with each piece drawing viewers deeper into the complex web of emotions that come with it.
As we wander through the exhibition, we are forced to confront our own feelings about love and obsession. Are these intense emotions worth the pain they bring? Or do they ultimately lead to destruction? “It’s Over When I Say It’s Over” challenges us to ponder these questions and explore the darker side of love.
Ron Mariñas
Ron Mariñas began his artistic journey with an unwavering fascination for the human form. Emerging as a contemporary symbolist painter, he seamlessly blends classical aesthetics with modern sensibilities. Mariñas’ work draws inspiration from Renaissance masters, highlighting the human figure against a golden background. His meticulously curated compositions are not only visually outstanding but it exudes emotion such as desire, vulnerability and strength among others.
Rum Corvera
Rum Corvera, a former high-end jewelry designer with a love for fashion design and illustration, introduces a distinctive voice with his art. Inspired by his formative years in the Middle East, he incorporates metallic inks and gold elements in his work highlighting the human form and portraitures. Corvera’s unique blend of artistic talents have created a fusion of elements in his work that exudes auspicious elegance and boldness.
