“Giovanni Jano, better known as JAËL, is a 25 year old Moluccan recording artist, producer, DJ and vocalist from The Hague, The Netherlands. His passion for music began from a young age where he grew up in a household surrounded by Moluccan Folk songs, Moluccan Gospel, Soul/Funk & Japanese Funk. His parents are true Funk/Soul and R&B lovers and infected JAËL with these fluencens early on.
JAËL embraced these sounds together with a broad variety of inspiration and combined it into his own signature sound: going from Soulful R&B to Heavy Bass and Future Beats during his DJ sets but also in his production and/or songwriting. He has been showcasing his skills as a DJ,instrumentalist, vocalist and producer in these different genres all over the world. His favourite artists are: Sango, Anderson Paak, Tyler The Creator, CRUSH and many more.
JAËL just recently become an official member of the LA Based label and community Soulection and is also represented by Studio KOTO, which is the newest artist agency, label and management company from Amsterdam. His debut EP ‘Time’ (2018) was released on Studio KOTO. With his EP, JAËL demonstrated that he can produce, record, play his own instruments and sing/write his own songs.
Aside from his debut EP, JAËL released two “Remixes & Club Edits” Volumes 1 & 2. He brings a unique JAËL dipped Baile Funk meets Future Beats meets Soul meets Hip Hop sound with his edits & remixes. Be on the lookout for Volume 3!
In additional, JAËL is currently working on projects with SUMIN, Crush, Midas Hutch, MAAD & Jengi and touring around the globe playing in the major cities in Asia, Africa & Europe.”
