The Jesuit Music Ministry (JMM), the music production arm of the Jesuit Communications Foundation Inc. in the Philippines, has released the full “Soundtrack of Our Faith” album. The compilation features popular mainstream Filipino artists, who lent their vocal prowess to breathe new life into JMM’s original compositions.

The “Soundtrack of Our Faith” is arranged to mimic a teleserye soundtrack, hence the album name. It begins with someone facing confusion and challenges in one’s life, then meeting Jesus along their journey to help turn around their miserable situations. Eventually, the path leads to forming an enduring relationship with God founded on faith, hope, and love. Listeners of the album will recognize this thematic shift from dark to light, sadness to joy.

Some of the artists in the “Soundtrack of Faith” album include: (first row, L-R) Bituin Escalante, Arman Ferrer and Lara Maigue, (second row, L-R) Poppert Bernadas, Floyd Tena and Darwin Lomentigar

Headlining the album are some household names in the Philippine music industry. These top artists, who have established their performance chops on and off stage, add contemporary flair to these inspirational compositions. The album includes the following singles and performers: “Gandang Sinauna at Sariwa” performed by Kayla Rivera, “Pintig ng Puso” by Floyd Tena, “Maging Katulad Mo” by Popper Bernadas, “Pagkakaibigan” by Darwin Lomentigar, “Tungo Sa’yo” by Bituin Escalante with Hangad, “Walang Ibang Tahanan” by Arman Ferrer, “Nauna Na Kitang Mahalin” by Erik Santos, “Huwag Limutin” Bianca Lopez- Aguila, “Stella Maris” Jolina Magdangal and “Ito ang Araw” by Lara Maigue and Arman Ferrer.

The prominent names help JMM’s mission of propagating the faith through music. In a way, because they are already well-known names, they can help invite those who have yet to discover the ministry’s classic and new compositions.

Singles have already been released since February, but the full “Soundtrack of Our Faith” album was launched this summer to further emphasize the message of Easter, the promise of fullness of life. It is available via digital listening platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube & Deezer.
