ABOUT KUWENTONG TAHIMIK
Kuwentong Tahimik: Perceiving the Queer-Deaf experience is a student led production from students of Associate in Arts (Theatre) in University of the Philippines Diliman, under the guidance of Ms. Maria Stella Rossa Lopez. It aims to achieve a twofold mission: raising awareness among the hearing community about the queer-deaf experience and dismantling the associated stigma, while fostering a deeper understanding of how the queer-deaf community navigates potential discrimination within their own communities. By utilizing the powerful medium of theatre, Kuwentong Tahimik endeavors to bridge the gap between hearing individuals and the queer-deaf community, providing a safe platform for expression and empowering them to share their stories without fear of discrimination.
