Marion Francesca, a production, project, and events manager, is now a graduating student from the Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts program of the College of Saint Benilde – Design and Arts Campus.
She got her first theater experience under the Humanities & Social Sciences course of Immaculate Conception Academy Greenhills, and has loved it ever since. She was an actress in a theater production called “Saving Grace” and a film called “Sugar Rush” produced by the HUMSS students of 2018.
Dancing was also a big part of her life as she was also a varsity member of the “ICA Dance Troupe” for 5 years. Her background in dance, has led her to win first place in a National Dance Competition for Jazz (March 2017) and choreographed a winning piece in the Mafbex event, “So Benilde, You Think You Can Dance?” (July 2019).
During her college life, she was able to practice and develop her skills and talents even more behind-the-scenes, through marketing, logistics, events planning, and production and stage management.
As one of the founding members of Maiba 18 Productions, she was able to stage productions such as “Indayugang Banal: Isang Superpowered Komedya” by Carlo Vergara (November 2022), and “Doc Anna… Let’s Kill This Lab” by Dr. Layeta Bucoy (August 2022). She has also collaborated with Teatro 77 and alumni batches from the Theater Arts Program in the past.
Given her participation in both performance and production, she aims to be more involved in the arts industry in the future.
