The buzzling pace of daily life is a norm for the contemporary generation. People move within the routinary demands of everyday life. At the break of dawn, people already flock the streets to face the challenge of the daily commute and making the most out of the little time they have within the day.
The society may seem to be random and in a constant state of disorder, but life revolving within it are affected by the dynamic system called the chaos theory. Within this, apparent randomness are underlying patterns that are highly affected by the initial conditions or time. The pendulum is an example of the chaos theory, the movements exhibit disorganized forms but if examined through its variables, a systematic pattern is present.
Life started at birth and ends with death, as the pendulum starts stationary and will end in a stationary state as well. Nonlinear features new works by artist Bato in his depiction of the connection of life and the society in which people live in. Exploring more on the concepts of the chaotic theory that he previously applied in an earlier piece, the exhibition portrays the underlying patterns that connects people with the environment, the community and the society that is under the constant state of chaos.
