The Cultural Center of the Philippines honors the late National Artist for Theater Amelia Lapeña-Bonifacio through a state necrological tribute on Saturday, December 11, 2021, live at the CCP Main Theater and livestreamed on the CCP Facebook page.
As a playwright, theater director, painter, teacher, set and puppet designer, Amelia Lapeña-Bonifacio’s achievements have sparked today’s renaissance of writing for children and young adults and reanimated the world of theatre and literature for Filipino children.
