In celebration of the 80th Quezon City Foundation Anniversary, the City Government will hold various activities geared towards a festive and meaningful celebration.

Pista ng Kyusi #Kyusi@80 is one of the highlights of the month-long anniversary celebration which will happen on October 12 to 13 from 9AM to 9PM at the Liwasang Aurora, Quezon City Memorial Circle.

Program

Art on Bench : An Artwork Competition

I. MECHANICS

1.1 This competition is aimed at helping beautify and provide lively colors on the benches around the QC Memorial Circle;

1.2 The competition is open to a team of five (5) members; all residents of Quezon City. They will all be required to submit proof of their residency in QC.

1.3 Composition of the teams could be any of the following:

– Family members
– Group of friends
– Group of hobbyists
– Group of officemates / work peers

1.4 All paints will be provided for by the QC TOURISM DEPARTMENT and will only be distributed at the date and time of the competition. No advance distribution will be provided. The QCMC Park and Administration will pre-assign the benches to be painted.

1.5 The competition will not require time limit.

1.6 The Art on Bench will have the following Criteria for Judging:

• Uniqueness of the Design 30 pts
• Maximize use of the painting materials 30 pts
• Team Work 20 pts
• Cleanliness 20pts

1.7 All entries will be judged by selected group of professional artists

II. PRIZES & AWARDS

First Place: Ph50,000.00 in cash
Certificate of Award

Second Place: Ph30,000.00 in cash
Certificate of Award

Third Place: Ph20,000.00 in cash
