PLAY 2D BEAT Open Dance Competition Details
GENERAL INFORMATION
- PLAY 2D BEAT: An Open Dance Competition will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014, 5-9PM at CAP Theatre, 7th floor CAP Bldg., 126 Amorsolo Street, Makati City.
- This is the main show of the event. There are only 20 slots available and there is NO audition. Organizers accept pre-registration through text message, email or send a private message on http://www.facebook.com/
dancepinoykpop.
- Wait for any of our staff to confirm you pre-registration. Once received, we will e-mail you the form and other requirements needed to complete your registration. To be able to secure your pre-registered slot, make sure you bring the accomplished form and waiver with a group photo when you pay for your registration fee. Pre-registration starts September 1. Registration dates are September 28 at SM North and October 26 at SM Megamall.
- Registration fee is P500 per group of 7-15 members each. Regular ticket price is P100. Payment for registration will only be accepted at our registration sites as stated above. If you’re area is far from these two registration sites, you may set a meet-up with our Participant Coordinator for your registration. This should be scheduled in advance and is subject to the availability of both Participant Coordinator and Group Representative. On the day registration is subject to availability of slots.

MECHANICS
- Each participating group must consist of a minimum of 7 members to a maximum of 15 members.
- Each participating group may perform any genre that best represents their group.
- The performance of each group must be a total of 5 minutes. Points will be deducted from the total score if a group exceeds the 5 min time limit for each performance.
- Each group must inform the organizers of any stunts or props they will be including in their routine during the registration.
- All participants are given a chance to block a routine on stage before the actual show starts. If participant is late, schedule to block is forfeited.
- Strictly no group hopping.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
Concept and Creativity – 20%
Choreography – 20%
Energy Level and Synchronization of Moves – 20%
Costume – 30%
Audience Impact – 10%
TOTAL – 100%

- Each participant must dance or act as their chosen artist to imitate.
