The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) continues to bring you delightful, soothing, and uplifting music with The PPO Spotlight: Virtual Pocket Performances, a new series of series of online performances or “virtual pocket concerts” that puts the spotlight on PPO member musicians. The program consists of solo and ensemble performances, recorded by PPO musicians from their own homes. A diverse repertoire composed of classical music, popular tunes, OPM, and other familiar melodies is in store for your enjoyment!
For the launch programme, pieces include Georg Goltermann’s Romance Op. 19 No. 1 performed by the PPO Cello section; Ikaw at Ako by Moira Dela Torre and Jason Marvin, as interpreted by flutist Gary Silangcruz; Alan Menken’s Go the Distance performed by Ernani Pascual on French Horn; and Ben & Ben’s Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin played by violist Rey Casey Concepcion. The series continues with new performances curated for your viewing and listening pleasure twice every month.
