Renz Baluyot’s (b. 1989) works puts the city under the microscope. Yet despite the city’s wide expanse, Baluyot zooms in on the decay and disintegration that come along with urbanization. With this as his starting point, he complicates the structure and design of cities, exposing the politics from which the city is built upon.
