The primary aim of the SALAYSAY PILIPINAS is to engage, educate, and entertain the audience through oral storytelling.

We invite an International Storyteller.

Margaret Read MacDonald is an American storyteller, folklorist, and award-winning children’s book author) as keynote speaker, facilitating plenary sessions with distinguished panelists, hosting a lecture workshop, and organizing breakout sessions for story swapping and storytelling shows.

This event promises a day filled with captivating tales that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines. But that’s not all! We’re also allowing you to be a part of something meaningful.

The festival operates on a “Donate what you can afford” basis. Your generous contributions will support the International Storyteller and our dedicated volunteers, covering their daily meals, local transport, accommodations, cultural tours, and tokens of appreciation.
