With the implementation of the Psychology Law, there is a need to improve the construction of a clinical psychological report. Now, it becomes imperative for a clinical psychologist to write a professionally written psychological report.
In this light, we are pleased to invite you to the 1st Lecture/Workshop titled “COMMUNICATING CLINICAL ASSESSMENT RESULTS” by Prof. Rosalito De Guzman, Ph.D. on July 14, 2014, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
At the end of the seminar-workshop, the participant will be able to write a clinical report that is truly professional, clear, and meaningful by learning to avoid the sources of errors in clinical interpretation. Specifically, the participant will be trained to:
- Avoid the “Barnum Effect” or the lack of individualization;
- Avoid “illusory correlation” or overinterpretation;
- Avoid the lack of integration or writing conflicting statements that go unnoticed;
- Avoid “overpathologizing”;
- Translate technical terms to layman’s language for easy comprehension;
- Establish sufficient internal evidence and external verification;
