The Embassy of France to the Philippines, the Institut Français and the Alliance Française de Manille, in cooperation with the National Museum of the Philippines, presents the Nuit des idées (Night of Ideas) in the Philippines 2023 in the continuing Cultural Thursdays series.
For this Night of Ideas 2023, personalities from all horizons will gather at the foot of the Tree of Life at Manila’s National Museum of Natural History, to reflect on the relationship between mankind and nature in the Philippines over time and traditions The aim is for participants, speakers and audience, to question the exploitation of natural resources and to reflect on sustainable alternatives from our modes of production to consumption.
An evening of dialogue, sharing of knowledge, and discussion on the increasing interaction of man with nature, and their consequences on the environment, followed by a fashion show featuring clothing designed with sustainability as a guiding principle.
The rooms of the museum will be open to the public, and local brands of sustainable products for textile, home, and clothing will be showcased.
