‘Triple Threats’ brings you a vast repertoire of songs from original Filipino musicals, Broadway, West End and the movies. Dubbed as a series of “concept concerts”, the narrative of the performance is dictated by the song choices of the artists themselves. Catch Poppert Bernadas’ LIVE performance this December 21, 7:30 p.m.
Poppert A. Bernadas is a singer with the stories of the world flowing from his lips in each and every performance. “If I cannot fly, let me sing” once said the great composer and lyricist, Stephen Sondheim. This mindset fully embodies how Poppert Bernadas embraces his craft as a singer and actor in the chaotic world of Philippine show business and musical theatre.
Since 2007 until the present, Poppert has been an original member of the multi-awarded vocal group the “Ryan Cayabyab Singers” (or RCS) when he was handpicked by National Artist, Ryan Cayabyab, to be part of this prestigious singing group under his tutelage. The RCS continues to successfully tour and perform in the local music scene, as well as having sold-out shows in Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe and the United States. In 2014, Poppert tried out for the top-rating and trending TV show “The Voice of the Philippines, Season 2” on Abs-Cbn and during the Blind Audition, successfully wowed all the four judges, Lea Salonga, Bamboo, Apl.de.Ap. and Sarah Geronimo to turn around with all their 4 chairs to face him. Poppert chose to be part of Team Sarah Geronimo for this competition. 2014 was also the year that Poppert was cast as “Kenny” in the iconic, longest-running, all-Original Filipino Musical : “Rak of Aegis” of PETA.
