It showcased the powerhouse that the UE CFAD has, from its administrative officers to its faculty members, showing that they are not just academicians, but also active, talented and expert practitioners of their respective field and professions. Exhibited works included the mentors’ works from here and abroad, as multi awarded filmmaker, advertising specialist, architects, environmental planners, project and construction managers, interior designer, furniture designer, engineer, heritage advocate as well as their community involvements.

Another interesting feature of the exhibit was the #3Things of each exhibitor that gave trivial insights on their personal history, hobbies, collections and life outside the university. Who would have thought that one of the faculty members was supposed to be part of the group of boy scouts who perished in a plane crash? Or that some of them were also stage actors and musicians? Also, it was nice to see for the students the lighter side of their professors, who has a huge collection of Lego, Kimmidolls, flags, toy cars, and many more. How cool is it, that their college secretary was once a band vocalist and that their Dean is also a bowling champion? These are just some of the unique and remarkable things to see at Folium.

The opening of Folium also celebrated the College’s 54 years of being one of the country’s oldest leading design and art school and one of the currently emerging architecture institutions. The event was graced and officially opened by the University Chancellor for Caloocan campus, Dr. Zosimo M. Battad, UE CFAD Dean Celino B. Santiago, and other Deans and Administrative Officers of the different colleges and departments of UE Caloocan. Exhibit will run until August 30 for Caloocan Campus and a date is yet to be announced for the Manila Campus exhibition.
