Favio Rodriguez, born in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, started playing the guitar with his father at a tender age of 10. Later, joined Jacinto Matiauda at the Conservatorio Mangore to study classical guitar.
Not long after, in 2005, Favio was granted a full scholarship by the Republic of China (Taiwan).
He then pursued music at the National Taiwan University of Arts under the supervision of professor Vince Luo. After graduating in 2010, he attended the Birmingham Conservatoire for his masteral degree in music, where he trained with the renowned guitarist, Mark Ashford.
Favio has performed in several recitals and festivals across Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Peru.
He recently released an album dedicated to Roland Dyens: “Homenaje a Roland Dyens”.
Currently, he teaches music at the National University of Asuncion and at the Pu Rory Ensemble, under the direction of Berta Rojas.
