Today, in the advent of social media and an increasingly globalized art world, abstract art is back in focus at an exceptional scale. An exhibition named after Cheryl Strayed’s memoir, WILD features some of the most exciting women abstract artists of our time.
These artists draw inspiration from nature, which includes the environment, cosmos, and the human body. Several artists in the exhibition express their surroundings through color and form, prompting questions about the visual similarities and conceptual differences that exist among them. This group of artists includes those whose practices span East, West, and the diasporic in-between.
Curated by Kathy Huang.
