GOODS: clothes, books, art materials, school supplies, kitchenware, etc.
SERVICES: massage, haircut, music, blood pressure check, etc.
RRFM: The Really, Really Free Market (RRFM) is a temporary market based on an alternative gift economy. RRFM events are often hosted by people unaffiliated with any large organization and are encouraged to sprout up by anyone, at anytime, anywhere.
Participants bring unneeded items and food as well as skills and talents such as entertainment, massage, arts and crafts, language lessons, plants, haircuts, yoga, and more. A RRFM usually takes place in an open community space such as a public park or community commons.
👇 HOW DOES IT WORK:
• The mandate is to give everyone a taste of no-exchange: give without expecting a return, take without having to give something in return.
•Please make sure that all the items you will bring are clean and in working condition. NOTE: We are not a recycling facility. NO JUNK OR GARBAGE PLZ ❤ No big items – like furniture and anything that is too big or heavy for a person to carry home comfortably.
• During the Market (7pm-10pm), there is a limit to the number of items you can take, which is one large shopping bag per person. (2 bags for families of 3 or more people)
• AFTER 10pm, there is no limit – you can take as much as you can!
• Types of items you can donate include: housewares, kitchen utensils, dishes, and small appliances, clothing, toys, craft supplies, bedding, jewellery, electronics, gardening supplies, tools, toiletries and makeup, packaged food that is not expired, pet supplies, books, and more!
