Three collectible drawings by National Artists for Visual Arts Ang Kiukok and Arturo Luz, and Presidential Order of Merit awardee Juvenal Sanso, will be auctioned at “True Colors,” a one-day exhibit/fundraiser to be held on August 24, Saturday, at the Metropolitan Club in Rockwell, Makati City. Ateneo de Manila Law School Batch 1995 is organizing this event for the benefit of the Ateneo Law Alumni Scholarship Fund and the Ateneo Law Prison Decongestion Program.
“True Colors” also features works by Darby Alcoseba, Gab Baez, Seb Chua, Louie Cordero, Rosanne Hugo, Rishi Kapoor, Celeste Lecaroz, Sam Penaso, Joem Sanclaria Chua, Miles Villanueva, Alex Bugsy Sibug, and Cid Reyes, Fernando Sena, and Oddin C. Sena.
Organizers Jacob Divino, Marvin Aceron, and Hubert Guevara have conscientiously curated an array of works in various media, and with different subjects to appeal to different types of art collectors. There are paintings of landscapes, still life, realism and experimental, plus sculptures and drawings.
The Ang Kiukok, Arturo Luz, and Juvenal Sanso drawings, all with authentication papers, were presented to the organizing committee by Master Fernando Sena to help the Ateneo Law Alumni in its endeavors.
Divino says, “We are thankful for Mr. Sena’s support and that many of the artists have graciously created new pieces specifically for our event… Our guests can be certain that ‘True Colors’ will be a genuine visual feast and the proceeds will go to a very good cause.”
