September is Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month — “MANA Mo”
DFA Maritime and Ocean Affairs Office (MOAO) is inviting every Filipino to celebrate with us a month of pride in our maritime heritage, our patrimony, our birthright.
This year’s theme is “Iisang Bangka Tayo: Philippine Unity in Uncertain Times”, our brave Bayanihan response to the covid-19 pandemic.
A webinar entitled “The Balangay through the Lens of Philippine Maritime History and Boat Culture”, to revisit our seafaring and boatmaking traditions since pre-colonial times — a journey back to the past that will give us a step or two into the Filipino future, with humility and hope.
